WASHINGTON – A juvenile is in police custody Saturday after police say he was involved in stealing more about $10,000 from a southeast D.C. Salvation Army office earlier this month.

D.C. police arrested a boy after they say he was one of the two suspects who entered the Salvation Army located in the 2300 block of Martin Luther King Avenue on Dec. 1 and stole about $10,000 worth of Red Kettle donations.

The juvenile is charged with burglary. The other suspect is still at large.

Since the burglary, there has been an outpouring of support. The Claude Moore Charitable Foundation gave a check to the Salvation Army for $10,000 as did attorney Tom Goldsten, Wal-Mart and Koons.
