Time names its ‘Person of the Year’

WASHINGTON – Pope Francis has just been named Time Magazine’s “Person of The Year.”

The pope topped a wide-ranging list of finalists that included NSA leaker Edward Snowden, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Tea Party’s Ted Cruz and Amazon.com’s Jeff Bezos who owns The Washington Post.

Miley Cyrus was among the other finalists.

The announcement of Time’s Person of the Year was made this morning on the “Today Show.”
