Gun fired on Metro train

WASHINGTON – A gun was fired on board Metro’s Orange line train just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

Metro Transit Police spokesman Philip Stewart says two men got into an argument, which resulted in one man hitting the other on the head with a gun, causing the weapon to fire and break a window.

An officer got on the train at the Cheverly station and arrested the suspect. The other man was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No other passengers were injured.
