Man, 19, fatally stabbed in Springfield

WASHINGTON — Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man on Wednesday.

According to police, officers were called to the 7400 block of Loughboro Lane, off Franconia-Springfield Parkway, just before 2 p.m. There, officers found an unresponsive man with an apparent stab wound to the upper body.

The victim, identified as Shaki Ezekiel Phillip, was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Phillip was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to police, two male suspects in their late teens were seen leaving the scene of the stabbing. Detectivebelieve it was not a random event.

Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
