60 busted in D.C. prostitution ring

WASHINGTON – Metropolitan police arrested 60 people involved in a large prostitution sweep in the District within 36 hours, WJLA reports.

Called “Operation Off the Streets 2,” police say both men and women were involved, and cases ranged from prostitution on the streets, in hotels and on the Internet, WJLA says.

Police received tips from the public through calls, community meetings and online listings.
