Turkey Hill voluntarily recalls 3 ice cream flavors

LANCASTER, Pa — Turkey Hill, the Lancaster County-based dairy in Pennsylvania, issued a recall for three products after determining that some may contain metal shavings, the company said.

The company said in a news release that the recalled items were being sold in small grocers and convenience stores throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania, along with select Walmarts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia as well as Turkey Hill markets in Pennsylvania.

The recall includes:

  1. 1.5-quart packages of Fudge Ripple Premium Ice Cream
  2. 1-pint packages of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Premium Ice Cream
  3. Moose Tracks Stuff’d Frozen Dairy Dessert.

There haven’t been any reports of shavings being found in the products, or any related illness or injury, the company said. All affected containers would have been purchased by consumers after Oct. 1.

Turkey Hill said customers who believe they have purchased an affected product are asked to contact the company at 1-800-MY-DAIRY.
