Redwood Oktoberfest set for Oct. 26

Redwood Oktoberfest at Bethesda Row is set for 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 and will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Beers available will include DC Brau, Flying Dog, Starr Hill and New Belgium. Redwood and nearby restaurants will offer food, including an essential Oktoberfest offering: Bratwursts with sauerkraut.

Music acts include South Rail Band, Taylor Carson, The WeatherVanes and Cheaper Than Therapy. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will host a pie eating contest for a $50 gift card to Redwood and a costume contest with tickets to the organization’s Brewers Ball as the grand prize.

There will be a kid’s area with arts and crafts and a kid band from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and some of Redwood’s Bethesda Lane neighbors will offer Oktoberfest deals.

Tickets are $39 on the day-of for the regular package: 12 tickets worth $24 of food and beer, a commemorative mug and a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Tickets for groups are available and there will be a LivingSocial ticket deal launching on Monday, Oct. 7.
