Post: Purple Line Planners Gave Country Club Special Treatment — A legal agreement to move some greens around the Purple Line and provide golf cart crossings for the Columbia Country Club requires the club to give up its opposition of the transit system. The changes are detailed in the Final Environmental Impact Statement from the Maryland Transit Administration. B-CC Homecoming Festival — The Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School boosters club will host a Homecoming Festival on the B-CC tennis courts before the football team’s homecoming game against visiting Blair on Oct. 4. The event starts at 4 p.m. and will include food, carnival games, face painting, a cake walk, Washington Wizards mascot G-Wiz and a live broadcast from a pair of WPGC 95.5 FM DJs.
