Commuter train strikes, kills pedestrian

WASHINGTON – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a commuter train Monday evening in Hyattsville.

Prince George’s County Fire says the unnamed individual was killed near Baltimore Avenue and Decatur Street. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The MARC train was running on the Camden line at the time.

MARC warned passengers to expect delays.
