Race boat capsizes, 10 people in the water in Cambridge, Md.

WASHINGTON – Several people found themselves in the water Saturday afternoon when a 42-foot long boat capsized during the Choptank Heritage Skipjack Race near Route 50 in Cambridge, Md.

Ten people fell into the water when the ” Ida May,” built in 1906, overturned.

All were rescued, and one person was taken to the hospital in the Dorchester with unknown injuries.

The race takes place every year.
