Weekly Crime Report: Sept. 2 to Sept. 10

Police say four men and a woman did an afternoon robbery near Westfield Montgomery Mall before fleeing:

A robbery occurred in the 10400 block of Auto Park Avenue in Bethesda on Wednesday, 9/4 at approximately 3:00 p.m. The suspects forcefully removed property from the victim, then fled.

Suspects: B/M, 5‘8”/140 lbs., dreadlocks; B/M (NFI); B/F, 5’5”/115 lbs., long hair, tattoo on arm; B/M, 5’6”/150 lbs; B/M, 5’5”/160 lbs.

The most recent Bethesda area crime report also includes a gas station burglary, Verizon store burglary and a string of thefts from vehicles:

A commercial burglary occurred at Liberty Gas Station, 8550 Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase on Thursday, 9/5 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A sexual assault occurred near Rockville Pike & Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda during the early morning hours of Saturday, 9/7. The suspect is known to the victim.

A commercial burglary occurred at Verizon Wireless, 11431 Rockville Pike in Rockville on Wednesday, 9/4 at approximately 3:00 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Nine thefts from vehicles occurred on Englishman Drive & Grosvenor Place in North Bethesda overnight from Monday, 9/9 to Tuesday, 9/10. Forced entry; vehicle parts taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 5300 block of Ventnor Road in Bethesda sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

Five thefts from vehicles occurred in the Westgate/Brookdale residential neighborhoods. Incidents all occurred during overnight hours (from 9/2-9/3 or 9/3-9/4). Vehicles were left unlocked; cash and electronics were targeted.
