Weekly Crime Report: Aug. 26 to Sept. 3

Police say a man robbed a Bethesda Row shop that sells artisan oils and vinegars, assaulting somebody in the process:

A commercial robbery occurred at Secolari, 7249 Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda on Wednesday, 9/4 sometime around 3:00 a.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Suspect: B/M, 5’7”/150 lbs., had unknown item covering face 

There were also two alleged thefts from vehicles in broad daylight near the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center:

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 5700 block of Marinelli Road in North Bethesda between 3:50 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on both Tuesday, 8/27 and Wednesday, 8/28. Entry was forced into one vehicle and a laptop case was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at 4340 East West Highway in Bethesda sometime overnight between Tuesday, 8/27 and Wednesday, 8/28. Unknown entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5800 block of Brookside Drive in Bethesda on Friday, 8/30 between 10:20 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. No forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 9500 block of Kentstone Drive in Bethesda on Wednesday, 8/28 between 10:10 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A vehicle theft occurred in the 7500 block of Spring Lake Drive in Bethesda on during the early morning hours of Thursday, 8/29.
