1 dead, 3 injured in NW D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON – A shooting in Northwest D.C. Wednesday night left one person dead and three others injured.

Officials responded to the 100 block of Pierce Street at about midnight for reports of a fatal shooting, according to NBC Washington. The shooting caused one man’s death and hurt three other men. The injured men sustained potentially life-threatening injuries, NBC reports.

NBC reports police believe the shooting was related to a game of dice. ABC 7 reports the shooting happened as a result of a gambling argument.

D.C. police are looking for the person responsible for the shooting. A description of the suspect is not yet available.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims.
