Washington Redskins’ RGIII is pictured on the cover of the Sept. 2 issue of Sports Illustrated with a 80s-style Elway in the background. In the issue, it compares the Redskins’ quarterback to the two-time Super Bowl champ and Denver Broncos alum.

Before RGIII’s knee injury, he was known for his speed and arm strength. But SI says that just because RGIII excels at running, doesn’t mean he couldn’t become a “gunslinger” like Elway.
