WASHINGTON — The final and sixth season of the hit British drama “Downton Abbey” premieres Sunday night on PBS.

PBS will air a marathon of the season a week before the finale and a behind-the-scenes special detailing how the show was made.

The series finale is set for the first week of March, the network announced in October.
