WASHINGTON — The body of a dead man was found on the playground of a Prince George’s County elementary school Monday afternoon.

Police say a man’s body was found at the playground in the 6700 block of 97th Avenue in Seabrook at about 4:30 p.m. The body was found near Gaywood Elementary School and Gaywood Neighborhood Park.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from trauma to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release any additional details about the man’s injuries.

Police are investigating what led to the death of the man — whose name has not yet been released.
