Blast Off At 8300 Wisconsin

Go to the :29 mark of the above video for today’s blast at the 8300 Wisconsin construction site.

It’s the first of what for now will be a one-blast-per-day schedule over the next six months, according to developer StonebridgeCarras.

The Bethesda-based developer and Donohoe Construction Company are building a 360-unit apartment building with townhome units and a ground-floor Harris Teeter grocery store on the site.

Crews closed off the intersection of Battery Lane and Woodmont Avenue about a minute before the blast. Expect similar delays prior to each blast. The blasts will only occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The blast on Wednesday happened just after 11 a.m.
