Footage shows Mark Twain at Conn. estate (Video)

WASHINGTON – The latest celebrity to be caught on tape: Mark Twain.

OK, so it’s not really recent, and apparently it’s been out there. But Mental Floss reports the silent footage below was taken by Thomas Edison in 1909 during a visit to Twain’s Connecticut estate and is the only known recording of the author in existence.

Twain (or Samuel Clemens, take your pick) is seen in his white suit, moseying around with a cigar and sitting with his daughters.
