Solid Stock Gains for a Second Day

(NEW YORK) — Solid gains for the stocks for the second day in a row.

The Dow Jones index up 156 points, the S&P 500 had a bigger percentage gain, gaining more than 1 percent Tuesday. Oil prices moved up from their recent lows.

Gaining more than 2 percent after rising Monday, energy stocks are the top performing sector.

Banking stocks did well with investors looking forward to higher interest rates.
