Woman arrested, car recovered in Alexandria carjacking

WASHINGTON – Fairfax County police have arrested a suspect in a carjacking that occurred early Tuesday morning and recovered the victim’s car.

Police stopped the stolen car on Richmond Highway near the intersection of Sherwood Hall Lane and arrested Nacole Diggs-McBride, 36, who was driving the car.

The Alexandria resident has been charged with carjacking and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The 1992 Honda Civic was stolen from a man who had parked his car in the 6300 block of South Kings Highway around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the car will be returned to the owner.
