Starting today, the first day of an expected heat wave, the Bethesda California Tortilla will offer free ice cream each Tuesday this summer to anyone who buys an entree and offers a not-so-secret password.

The password is “Yum,” and today’s flavor is chocolate vanilla crunch bar, co-founder Pam Felix said.

There will be freeze pops for the lactose intolerant. The offer is good only at the Bethesda California Tortilla location, at 471 Cordell Ave. in Woodmont Triangle.
