Police investigate home invasion robbery in Reston

WASHINGTON — Fairfax County police officers are looking into a home invasion robbery that occurred Thursday night in Reston, Virginia.

According to a press release, two people allegedly forced their way into a woman’s home along the 12000 block of Edgemere Circle.

The suspects took items from the house and drove away in the woman’s vehicle, which was later recovered near Reston Town Center.

The woman, 67, didn’t need medical attention. Police detectives don’t believe the home invasion was a random act.

Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
