WSSC work to close 2 lanes on southbound Md. 355 beginning Tuesday

WASHINGTON — The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission announced it is making a necessary comprehensive water main repair on MD-355 near Cedar Lane, and it is set to begin this week.

For this repair to take place, the WSSC states they will need to close two southbound lanes on Rockville Pike (Maryland Route 355) between Interstate 495 and the Cedar Lane intersection.

Weather permitting, this project is set to begin on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and the closures will remain in place 24 hours a da,y seven days a week, for up to 10 days. 

The two right southbound lanes will be closed with temporary Jersey barriers in place.
