Huntington residents warned to move cars to higher ground

WASHINGTON – Residents in the Huntington area of Fairfax County are being warned to move their cars from low-lying areas.

Fairfax County officials are warning that rain and discharge gauges indicate there could be significant flooding as a result of Friday’s thunderstorms.

They are telling residents in the areas of Fenwick Drive and Arlington Terrace to move their cars to higher ground.

The National Weather Service is calling for the chance of even more thunderstorms before midnight, and a slight chance of showers between midnight and 2 a.m.

Some of the storms could be severe.
