STATUS: Full Time, Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable operations of both WTOP and WFED. Also assist with other accounting activities as necessary.

DUTIES:

  • Assist the Market Controller and Business Manager with Accounts Receivable management, including billing, payment posting, making collections calls and determining creditworthiness of new advertisers.
  • Perform accounting activities utilizing the professional application of accounting principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards, current laws and Company policy.
  • Assist with other accounting activities, including Accounts Payable and Payroll, as appropriate.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of Credit & Collections experience.
  • Two (2) years post high school education in Accounting, Business or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Knowledge of Marketron preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately and meet deadlines under pressure situations.
  • Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed.
