JOB TITLE: Credit & Collections Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable operations of both WTOP and WFED. Also assist with other accounting activities as necessary.
DUTIES:
Assist the Market Controller and Business Manager with Accounts Receivable management, including billing, payment posting, making collections calls and determining creditworthiness of new advertisers.
Perform accounting activities utilizing the professional application of accounting principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards, current laws and Company policy.
Assist with other accounting activities, including Accounts Payable and Payroll, as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years of Credit & Collections experience.
Two (2) years post high school education in Accounting, Business or related field preferred.
Knowledge of MS Office products.
Knowledge of Marketron preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work quickly and accurately and meet deadlines under pressure situations.
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed.
