WASHINGTON – Five people have been hospitalized, with two in serious condition, after a two-vehicle crash in the Lorton area.

The crash occurred at Gunston Road and Pohick Bay Drive, in the Lorton area, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue.

The authorities add that two of the five injured people were taken to the hospital via helicopter in serious condition.

At the same time and less than an a mile away, a jet skier was seriously injured after his jet ski caught on fire at Gunston Cove. That person also had to be medevaced in very serious condition.

Police are investigating the incident.
