Cyclist robbed at gunpoint in Fairfax County

WASHINGTON — Two 23-year-old men have been arrested after allegedly mugging a cyclist at gunpoint in Fairfax County, police say.

The victim was riding a bicycle near Main Street and Gregory Drive in the Engleside area Monday at 11:30 p.m. A car pulled up alongside him and the driver got out. He demanded money at gunpoint, officials say.

After getting the money, the two suspects drove off in the car.

The police were eventually able to track them down.

Jacob Gilbertson and Benjamin Yeannakis have been charged with robbery and with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
