Police identify woman found dead near dumpster in Takoma Park

WASHINGTON — Police have identified a woman whose body was found early Tuesday near a dumpster in Takoma Park, Maryland.

According to Takoma Park Police, 34-year-old Elena Gugicheva’s body was found by someone throwing out trash along New Hampshire Avenue, near Kingwood Drive. Investigators say she had stab wounds.

Gugicheva trained as a paralegal and worked part-time in the office park, according to police.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call police at 301-270-1100.
