Missing 4-month-old boy found

WASHINGTON – Police confirm the missing baby has been found and is safe.

The person who reportedly had the baby was the mother’s friend, an 18-year-old babysitter. It is not clear who returned the child to police.

No charges have been filed.

WASHINGTON – A 4-month-old baby in the care of a baby sitter is missing in D.C.

The child — whose name is Nazir Morea Alston, NBC Washington reports — was last seen with his baby sitter in the 300 block of Raleigh Street in Southeast D.C., near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Alabama avenues.

Police say the babysitter never returned home with the boy Monday night.

The baby boy is black, about 22 inches long and weighs 20 pounds. He was wearing gray pants and a blue-and-white striped shirt.

His baby sitter was wearing a yellow shirt, orange jacket and jeans.

Anyone who has any information about the boy or the baby sitter is urged to call 911 immediately.
