WASHINGTON — No matter their record, the Washington Redskins have had as eventful a year as any team in professional sports. Between the revolving door of quarterbacks manning the offense, the spats between former players in the media and the ongoing name debate, few weeks have gone by without the team making headlines one way or another.

Despite a 4-12 campaign that led Washington to its sixth last-place finish in seven years, their final two wins came on the road against eventual division champ Dallas and at home against the Eagles in Week 16, effectively extinguishing Philadelphia’s playoff hopes. New acquisition DeSean Jackson proved to be one of the most explosive deep threats in the game; Alfred Morris compiled his third straight 1,000-yard season, and Trent Williams earned a spot in the Pro Bowl (even if Ryan Kerrigan was overlooked).
