‘Potholepalooza’ a success in the District

WASHINGTON – The fifth annual “potholepalooza” was a success in D.C. with nearly 4,000 potholes filled over the last month.

In the month’s 23 working days, District Department of Transportation crews expedited service to repair potholes reported by residents. There were 849 repair requests and 3,899 potholes serviced.

This year’s event suceeded in filling nearly 1,500 more potholes than last year.

Although the campaign is now ended, DDOT encourages residents to let them know about existing road problems by calling 311, using the online service 311.dc.gov, sending a tweet to DDOT or using DDOT’s smartphone application.
