Film follows Bryce Harper’s rise to the major leagues (Video)

WASHINGTON – Bryce Harper is moving on from magazine covers. Now he has a movie.

A one-hour film called “Bryce Begins” documents Harper’s rise from a teenage sensation to a big league all-star.

The special airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ESPN.

Harper and his father set the tone for the film, which includes rare footage and a who’s who list of interviews.

Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr., Harper’s agent Scott Boras, reporters Will Leitch and Tom Verducci, Harper’s high school baseball coach Sam Thomas and 2012 AL Rookie of the Year Mike Trout are all part of the film, according to a release.
