WASHINGTON – Get the long underwear, mittens and scarves ready. The weather is about to turn bitterly cold.
“The coldest air of the season is on the way as we move through the daytime hours today. The bigger story will be the wind chill factors — how cold it feels to your skin,” says ABC7 Meteorologist Steve Rudin.
The high Tuesday will be 32 under sunny skies. The winds will be out of the Northwest at 20 mph to 30 mph. That means it will feel like it is in the “upper single digits to lower to middle teens,” Rudin says.
It will be around 35 degrees Wednesday with partly sunny skies.
As the week progresses, it will warm up. By Friday, the temperature will creep up near 50.
