New ‘manly’ yogurt hits the shelves

WASHINGTON – Typically, the yogurt market is aimed at female consumers. Not anymore.

A new Greek yogurt is being marketed specifically to the unique health and nutrition needs of men.

The Powerful Yogurt website describes the yogurt as “the first yogurt in the U.S. designed for a man’s health and nutrition needs.”

But The Huffington Post reports that some are saying the yogurt is not any different than every other yogurt on the market.

Interestingly, the flavors available are not the most “manly” sounding: apple cinnamon, blueberry acai, mango and strawberry.
