Car hits 4-year-old girl in Md.

WASHINGTON – A 4-year-old girl has been seriously injured after she was hit by a car Saturday afternoon.

Montgomery County police tell WTOP she was hit just after 5 p.m. on Summer Oak Drive, just north of Clopper Road in Germantown.

The child was flown to a local hospital, but police say she was conscious and alert.

The driver remained on the scene.
