VCU medical heart center receives $5M gift

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center’s Pauley Heart Center has received a $5 million gift for recruitment and research.

The medical center says the donation from the Pauley Family Foundation will be matched by the VCU Glasgow Endowment.

The endowment also will match a $5 million fundraising campaign for the heart center.

Virginia Commonwealth officials announced the foundation’s gift and the campaign Tuesday.
