The first phase of the multi-million dollar renovation to Barcroft Park, the home field of the George Washington University baseball team, is under way, GW Sports reports. Initial demolition is complete and construction has commenced in preparation for the 2012 season.

Barcroft Park will receive new turf, stadium seating and other amenities, including a press box and concessions area, as well as new dugouts and bullpens.
