Taylor Swift rocks ‘Smelly Cat’ in concert with Friends’ Lisa Kudrow

WASHINGTON — Taylor Swift surprised fans Wednesday night at her Staples Center show in Los Angeles, by introducing Friends character Phoebe Buffay to perform a duet of “Smelly Cat.” Actress Lisa Kudrow was introduced by Swift: “This singer, she’s only ever played in coffee houses before — she’s never played in a big venue like this. Please make her feel welcome. You guys, her name is Phoebe Buffay.” In the middle of the song, Kudrow jokingly offered some advice to Swift about how to interpret the song about a flatulent cat: “You have to really feel the lyrics.”

Swift earned a thumbs-up from Kudrow, who later tweeted her appreciation.
