Police ask for help identifying suspected armed robber

WASHINGTON – Metro Police hope they’ll get tips on the identity of a man suspected of holding up another passenger and robbing her on a bus Wednesday morning.

Detectives say the armed robbery took place on a W6 bus. It happened just before 9 a.m. when a woman reported a man took her purse after showing her a handgun. At the time, the bus was passing through the intersection of Stanton and Elvans roads in SE D.C.
