Last airmen in Iraq returning to BWI

LINTHICUM, Md. – The last 300 U.S. airmen to leave Iraq return to Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport this week.

Their return to the U.S. comes as President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will mark the end of the war in Iraq at a ceremony at Joint Base Andrews.

Nearly 4,500 Americans were killed and 32,000 wounded during the nearly nine-year war.
