WASHINGTON – A car caused significant damage on Thursday when it plowed into the front of a Pizza Hut in Arlington.

Arlington County firefighters responded to the scene around 1 p.m. at the Lee Centre shops on the 3300 block of Lee Highway. Initial reports suggest a car drove through the front door of the Pizza Hut.

Firefighters assisted the driver in getting out of the car. No other injuries have been reported. A building inspector is en route to assess damage to the structure.
