Toddler hospitalized with burns from hot coffee

WASHINGTON – A toddler was hospitalized with serious burns after drinking from a hot cup of coffee Tuesday night.

The 2-year-old boy drank the beverage at about 7 p.m. in the 21000 block of Golf Estates Drive in Laytonsville, Md., says the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Assistant Chief Scott Graham tweeted that the boy was flown to a local burn center.
