Brew coffee with the help of your iPhone or iPad

Nathan Hager, wtop.com

WASHINGTON – Think of the one thing you’d never expect your iPhone or iPad would be able to do.

If your first thought was, “Brew a cup of coffee,” well, scratch that one off your list.

Denmark-based Scanomat is developing an iPhone- and iPad-compatible coffee machine called TopBrewer.

The sleek, tabletop brewmaker can reportedly produce a cup of filtered coffee in 15 seconds and a shot of espresso in 25 seconds.

An iPhone or iPad app can activate the device, or if your smartphone is out of reach, it comes with a built-in touchscreen.

No word on how much the TopBrewer will cost or when it will reach the market.
