Troopers investigate rash of thefts in Walkersville

Troopers from the Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police are investigating several thefts from unlocked vehicles in Walkersville.

The most recent thefts occurred late Saturday and early today at several residences in the Gladetown area, according to a state police news release.

All of the large residential neighborhoods in Walkersville have been hit by thefts throughout the past several months.

State police urge residents of Walkersville to not leave any vehicles unlocked that are parked in driveways or along the road at night. The suspect in these incidents is entering vehicles that are left unlocked and stealing money and other items left in the vehicles.

Anyone with information concerning the thefts from vehicles in Walkersville is asked to contact the Walkersville Resident Troopers at 301-898-0200 or the Frederick State Police Barrack at 301-600-4151.
