Ballpark neighborhood projects spring back to life

Development projects in the neighborhood near Nationals Park and the Navy Yards have sprung back to life after lying dormant during the recession, The Washington Post reported. Among the projects showing renewed life is The Yards, a redevelopment of former Navy Yard land by Forest City Washington and MacFarlane Partners.

The Foundry Lofts residence at The Yards is now 50 percent occupied while A Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Kruba Thai & Sushi restaurant are expected to open in the second quarter, according to The Post.
