B-CC Baseball Hosting Fundraiser At Caddie’s

Thanks in part to fundraisers the last three years at Caddie’s on Cordell (4922 Cordell Ave.) the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School baseball program has a new outfield fence, foul poles, batting cage nets and scoreboard.

Coach John Schmidt says there’s still more to do, which is why the team will have its 4th Annual Caddie’s Fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17.

The baseball program will receive 10 percent of of all receipts and a $5 donation at the door will get you discounted appetizers and pizza.

Schmidt said the reigning 4A South Division champs would still like to add bullpens to the field and improve the irrigation system. The Barons went 14-7 in 2012 and advanced to the 4A West Region semifinals.

“We will be experienced in the field and at the plate, but will have a lot of younger guys competing for innings on the mound this year,” Schmidt said.
