23-year-old man missing after New Year’s celebration

WASHINGTON – Montgomery County police are searching for a 23-year-old man who went missing in Northwest D.C. shortly after ringing in the new year.

Michael Steven Poe of Clarksburg, Md., was last seen at Shenanigans Bar in Adams Morgan around 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1. He was with friends at the time, but later split up from the group and never returned home.

Officials say he was last heard from at 2:30 a.m. after placing a call on his mobile phone.

He is described as a white male with red hair and hazel eyes. He is 5-foot-11 and weighs about 175 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Montgomery County police at 301-279-8000.
