FedEx driver robbed at gunpoint in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON – A FedEx driver reportedly was robbed of packages at gunpoint in Southeast D.C. Saturday.

NBC Washington says the incident occurred in the late morning on Highwood Street. Robbers reportedly forced the driver to the ground at gunpoint and took packages from his truck.

The Washington Post reports the victim was found facedown by the Rev. Willie Wilson of Union Temple Baptist Church in Anacostia.

Police tell the Post that the robbers fled with the packages in a cab.
