WASHINGTON – The booms and rumbling sounds many residents of Prince William County have been hearing this week are the result of some explosive munitions training at the Marine Corps base in Quantico.

The training has been going on for most of the week, and overcast skies can increase noise and vibrations.

The training will resume Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
