Teen struck and killed in Laurel

WASHINGTON – A 15-year-old boy was struck and killed Thursday morning in Laurel.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. at the intersection of Route 198 and Russet Green East.

Anne Arundel County Police say the teen was crossing against the traffic signal and was struck by a car that had the green light.

The car did stop at the scene.

The boy was transported to Laurel Regional Hospital where he died.

The investigation is ongoing.
